Annual Meeting Held in Macedonia

The International Board of Directors of the global network Habitat for Humanity International held their annual meeting in Skopje this October. In addition to the meeting, the IBoD participated in activities organized by HFH Macedonia, including the groundbreaking for the first Habitat Settlement in Veles.

The board of directors meets three times each year, twice at the headquarters of Habitat for Humanity International in Atlanta and once in a country of their choice. This year, HFH Macedonia was chosen to host the meeting due to our overwhelmingly positive results in creating innovative approaches by combining poverty housing with microfinance. The side activities organized by HFH Macedonia also included a field visit to Shuto Orizari where the IBoD members had the opportunity to experience firsthand how much of a difference our programs make in the lives of our partner families.

International Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity International is a respected and globally recognized association of public, business people, academy experts and professionals from the civil sector who dedicate inestimable time and effort for the strategically development of Habitat for Humanity.
