Macedonian Honorary Consul in Florida initiates new HFH partnership
Newly formed alliance between Habitat for Humanity Macedonia and Collier County Habitat for Humanity has been a highlight of the event of inauguration of the Macedonian Honorary Consulate in Naples, Florida, on February 8, 2008.
It was initiated by Lou Vlasho, newly appointed Honorary Consul of Macedonia and a long time supporter of Habitat for Humanity.
The Covenant of partnership, signed by Zoran Kostov, Executive Director of HFH Macedonia and Sam Durso, President of HFH Collier County, was greeted by a number of dignitaries that were attending the Consulate opening ceremony, including Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Milosevski, Macedonian Ambassador to the US Zoran Jolevski, UN General Assembly President Srdjan Kerim and Mayor of Naples Bill Barnett.
Located in Naples, Florida, HFH Macedonia’s newest partner has been dedicated to eliminating poverty housing in Collier County since April 1978. Bringing the total number of houses built to over 1000 in their 30 years of existence, HFH of Collier County is setting standards that every Habitat affiliate is striving towards.
